Hmm, if a player shoots one of "my" rats and isn't in my gang, and I haven't got a shot off yet then yeah, the bounty should go to that other player, I agree with you there.
If F1-6 is too boring in a Raven then fly a different ship. Some people don't already have a ton of ISK in their wallet and appreciate being able to earn good ISK in missions. Some people don't even have a fully T2 fitted ship and appreciate the challenge in lvl4 missions.
If you have grown too old and too powerful then do something about it, with out hurting those trying to build them selves up. Train some blaster skills up and take a Rokh out for a solo spin in a lvl4 mission, that should be far less boring. Or head out to 0.0, its not for everyone but there is a ton of fun to be had.
Managing aggro lets me and my friends take wide eyed newbies out into lvl4 missions for some great experiences that will get them hooked on EvE for years to come. It also lets one person be the tank while the others let their hair down and have some fun in other ships.
I already spend enough time going through hundreds of modules working out if I should sell or refine them, I don't like the idea of even more value going into the loot and less in the bounties, that just means more grind which is even more boring than a Raven doing a F1-6 job on a rat.
It would be interesting if the pirates flew reinforcements in if you had a bad enough standing, although it would take a long time to get the balance right. I do like the idea though.
As for the DT reset farming issue, hmm, mixed opinions on that one. Of course RMT is bad m'kay so there is no need to discuss that. As for players doing it, well yeah 7 days in a row is stretching things a bit. Doing it twice because DT got close isnt so bad though. To fix it CCP would have to save the state of the mission to the database over DT, I assume that state is only in the servers memory at the moment. I guess that would have a bad effect on getting the servers back up and running and extra lag when all the missioners log in after DT. So is it worth all that extra work? Well, I'm not decided on that one.
As for me and my motives, I'm a mission runner right now, I mission to earn ISK for fun stuff. F1-8 is getting boring but I'm very close now to a blasterboat to have fun in the missions with. I do like having my solid F1-8er for when I'm not in the mood for fancy flying though and it will always be my trusty back up. Its not a Raven though, its an over-tanked Abaddon with pulse lasers. When I'm not flying my F1-8 tub I'm flying a un-tanked blasterthron in a mates mission, which is a ton of fun and I'm slowly corrupting my corp mates who are building similar "suicidal wingman" ships. We also have some younger players in corp and its great to see them join the older players for some fun. As things are now we can happily earn good money and we can also have fun flying different ships with a friendly tank soaking up the pain.
So if missions have stopped being fun for you then I suggest you find a way to make them fun again. Leave the F1-8 tub at home and fly a different way.
